Failure to Register as a Sex Offender

Sex crimes, such as rape, child molestation, and sexual assault, warrant high penalties and can follow you for the rest of your life. Even less severe sex crimes, such as lewdness or public nudity, can have very serious penalties. If you have been charged with a sex crime, you have the right to experienced and aggressive legal defense. You can turn to me for help.
What evidence is needed to convict a sex offender?

“The victim’s story” is the worst kind of “evidence”, especially with a crime like this where kids know they have the power to destroy an adult’s life just by the accusation. When an accused is prosecuted for sexual abuse against a person who was fifteen, sixteen, or seventeen years of age at the time of the alleged commission of the offense, lack of consent is not a defense if the accused was in a position of trust.

To convict a person of the crime of sexual abuse, the state needs to prove each of these elements beyond a reasonable doubt:

Sexual contact.
Knowing behavior.
Lack of consent.

Failure to prove even one element should result in dismissal or acquittal.
